Evi Abeler is a New York-based food and still life photographer who shoots for food brands large and small, magazines and cookbooks.
The Challenge
I met Evi through a mutual connection, Ilise Benun of Marketing Mentor. Evi was growing her photography business and needed to upgrade her website content to capture her unique style and personality. She also wanted to develop a series of case studies that would showcase the creative direction behind her beautiful work.
The Collaboration
Evi and I have worked together since 2016, first on the biographical and services content for her website, and ongoing on her case study series. Evi’s work is gorgeous, and it’s a treat for me to talk with her about how she crafts each shot for every client. In an Instagram world, professional photography (especially food photography) is a valuable asset. Evi brings a distinctive eye (thanks to her childhood experiences on her grandparents’ farm in rural Germany) and a warm, collaborative approach that makes her images really special.
