Here’s the thing: After one year in business as an independent journalist and copywriter focused on food, wellness and design, I had a revelation. Nobody knows what I do. Some of the people I know well didn’t fully understand the nature of my work.
In May 2011, I made the difficult but exhilarating decision to leave behind a job—a team, a set of accomplishments, an audience, a subject matter—that I loved and take a leap out on my own. After 20 years in publishing, nearly all of them with HOW magazine, I figured it was time.
For quite some time, I had been writing a recipe blog, writes4food, as a creative outlet. And I figured that would serve as a sort of living portfolio, a decent representation of my work.
I was wrong.
Which led here: To a sparkly new website designed by Jill Anderson of Jill Lynn Design. I totally love the look of it—but more important, I love how it captures the work I do.
Quite simply, I write about subjects that feed the body, creative mind and soul. And I’d love to write for you. Give me a shout, if you’d like. Or browse around awhile and see what I’ve been up to.
